The rules to this game are quite simple. Just
like regular tag, choose a person to be “it.” Then
this person has to chase and tag someone. Once they
do this, everyone stops. The person tagged must then
say a word in Korean; they must also say what it
means in English. If the person isn’t sure of the
English word, anyone can offer to answer; but
beware. Anytime the English word is given wrong,
that person is either pulled out of the game or
penalized by having to do push-ups. Once this is
done, the person who was originally tagged is then
allowed to chase and tag someone else to be it. One
of the rules of the game is that you cannot tag the
person who just tagged you. This way everyone gets
involved. Another rule is that they cannot repeat a
word anyone else says, so it is to everyone’s
benefit to be very quiet when the person who is “it”
says their word in Korean. Any repeats are subjected
to the same penalties as wrong words.
The benefits of this game are:
1. good source of exercise
2. a fun way to learn the Korean language
3. helps sharpen listening skills
