KNIGHT VS KNIGHT
This is more a game to play with the little guys,
because it helps to keep them entertained.
What you need:
2 headgear
2 body shields
2 foam blockers
What you do:
Each "knight" put on their armor (headgear &
shield) and equips their sword (blocker). When each
knight is ready, they chase each other all over the
floor trying to attack each other. First knight to
successfully attack the other three times first is
the winning knight. This can work well as an
elimination game and offer prizes for the winning
knight.
TANG
SOO DO JEOPARDY
This is a game for the older kids, namely those
that can read and write.
What you need:
Tablets
Pencils
How you play:
You break up the class into teams, usually 3-5
people per team. Each team designates a captain who
writes, reads and after conferring with the rest of
their team, answers the questions.
Each team must come up with 5 tang soo do related
questions, whether is be terminology, history or
questions and Grandmaster Hong or the flags.
This game can be played one of two ways. First
team to KIHAP gets to answer the question, or you
can go down the line and ask questions.
KIHAP:
If you decide to play this way, then the
instructor will need to collect all the questions
and shuffle them around. If the kihaping team is
unable to answer the question, you give the rest of
the teams a chance to kihap again. After two teams
answer incorrectly, that question is thrown away and
you move on to another question. A correct answer is
worth 1 point. An incorrect answer takes a point
away.
DOWN THE LINE:
If you play this way, you need to make sure you
go in order. Team #1 asks team #2 a question. If
team #2 cannot answer that question, team #3 gets to
try to steal and answer If they can't answer if,
team #4 tries, and so on and so forth. If the
question gets back to team #1 without being answered
correctly, team #1 gets a point. If a team answers a
question, the team which answers correctly is
awarded a point. A correct answer is worth 1 point.
An incorrect answer is not worth anything.
